Seeing her own Grandmother spend her final years in a nursing home, Sylvia Scott always felt there had to be a better, more dignified way to care for our loved ones. When she stumbled upon the Nurse Next Door Home Healthcare system Sylvia knew this was the answer. Opening the home healthcare care franchise has allowed Sylvia to return to her hometown of Halifax, and combine her 25 years of senior business management experience; expertise in world class service and building great teams, into a business that makes a difference in the community with a focus on supporting our seniors.

Coming from a family of healthcare professionals, Sylvia knew of the challenges facing healthcare workers and the healthcare system in Nova Scotia and felt that Nurse Next Door’s home care services offered the right solution to fill the gaps. Sylvia and her team have made it her goal to make a difference in the lives of everyone they touch in Halifax including clients, their families, and of course their wonderful caregivers
