Toronto’s population is aging and Laura knows firsthand that seniors want to age comfortable and happy at home. Laura would like to set the bar for senior home care in Toronto and ultimately make a better life for seniors.
Working in the home health care industry, Kris spends every day on site at hospitals across Ontario and Manitoba. In his travels, it has become evident that the current health care infrastructure cannot support the aging population as more seniors are being moved out of hospitals and into communities. Due to the high cost of hospitalization and overcrowded rooms with lack of bed space, seniors are often discharged before they are ready to go home. Kris believes that too many seniors are forced back to their homes while they could still benefit from care and support. Often those needing care and their families do not know where to turn for help, or the help they find does not meet the standards they expect
