Lynn and Scott Jacobsen, along with David and Tricia Russell are starting up a new franchise called Nurse Next Door.

"We are planning on starting up Oct. 1," Jacobsen wrote to the Westside Weekly last week. "My wife and I are both nurses and my most recent work experience has been in the pharmaceutical industry. Dave is a financial planner and a certified senior advisor, and his wife Tricia is also a nurse. We will be covering the Kelowna and Westside area, and are extremely excited to get things going and provide our home health care services to both communities."

Friends for over a quarter-century, David Russell, MBA, CSA, CFP, and Scott Jacobsen, RPN, CCPE, have parlayed their friendship into a business partnership in order to bring needed home care services to the Kelowna area. Russell, a successful investment advisor who spent much of his time helping retired and retiring clients with financial needs, saw the care needs of his clients slowly grow and knew he could help.

Jacobsen, a registered psychiatric nurse who has spent years practicing his skill, brings with him the ability to marry the business side of health care with world-class, patient-centric care.

Nurse Next Door now offers a wide range of one-on-one services to seniors in Kelowna. For more information, phone 250-450-9750, or email: kelowna@nursenextdoor.com.
