Needs of Nanaimo seniors addressed

As the national percentage of seniors is set to double over the next 20 years, Nurse Next Door, Western Canada’s largest in-home senior care provider, has launched a franchise dedicated to the Nanaimo area in a bid to help address the rapidly growing senior care demand.

The newest Nurse Next Door franchise, owned and operated by Vancouver Island couple Chris Wilkinson and Tawnya Ketch, will address the health-care needs of Nanaimo seniors by providing a viable alternative to long-term care facilities. The vital services Nurse Next Door provides allow today’s seniors to live comfortably at home.

“This franchise allows us to help thousands of Nanaimo families that are currently struggling with caregiving issues by looking after their aging loved ones in their own homes,” said Wilkinson. “We are trying to educate residents now to help them understand that there is an affordable opportunity to keep their aging loved ones at home while still receiving the care and attention they need.”
