What you will lead in this role: As the Talent Care Recruiter,  you will lead all initiatives to drive high volume applicants to hire passionate Caregivers.  You will own the recruitment process and create a WOW experience from selection to hiring Caregivers. You will work in partnership with the People Experience Coordinator and team to understand the hiring needs to execute our weekly hiring rhythm.

You will also ensure all recruitment systems and initiatives are executed according to Nurse Next Door’s operating model, purpose of Making Lives Better, core values and brand. The Talent Care Recruiter role is essential in meeting our business goals by ensuring that we have the necessary Caregivers to meet our client’s needs and grow the business.

Availability: 

  • Full-time Monday- Friday and flexible on weekends
  • You will manage your hours by what is required by the role and the business needs 
Business Relationships 
  • Works closely in partnership with Caregivers, Clients, and all other supporting roles in HQ

Responsibilities
  • As the Talent Care Recruiter, a day in the life will entail:
  • Developing a strong pipeline to drive high quality candidates by; networking, conducting job fairs, visiting employment centers, attending nursing college events, and any other suitable channels
  • Coordinating with the People Experience Manager and team to understand hiring needs to execute and deliver quality candidates for recruitment goals
  • Ability to pre-screen high volume candidates to arrange interviews and align with our weekly hiring rhythm
  • Organize and conduct interview to ensure we are hiring caring and passionate Caregivers that meet our business needs
  • Conduct all background checks required to ensure we are delivering our premium brand
  • Putting together employee files and creating files into Alaya Care to ensure all new files are in alignment with Nurse Next Door operating model
  • Updating monthly recruitment scorecards such as; new hires per month, pipeline tracker, and monthly resumes
  • Assisting the People Experience Coordinator with creating a WOW experience on our weekly Discovery (orientation) Day
  • Key Metrics:
  • Never say no to a client request or turn down a visit due to lack of caregivers
  • NPS; Client and Employee Score of 10
  • Ensures staffing levels are above 25% and zero cancelled visits due to lack of available staff
Skills & Experience
  • Experience recruiting Caregivers that exude the Nurse Next Door Brand, they have a heart and love to care for seniors in their home.
  • Minimum two years customer service experience
  • Home care experience an asset and experience recruiting casual, part-time and full-time employees for different positions and areas
  • Ability to be self-led, take initiative, think creatively and be bold is essential for this role
  • Intentional organization, planning, time management, multitasking skills and advanced administrative skills
  • Must have strong computer skills, proficient in G-Suite: Gmail, drive, docs, calendar, and google spreadsheets
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, professional demeanor, excellent interpersonal skills and personal integrity
  • Background or Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search (updated every 5 years for continued employment)
  • Valid driver’s licences is a must and access to a vehicle is preferred
