Jamie Mainville is a highly experienced healthcare professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She brings more than 11 years of clinical experience, having worked as a Registered Nurse in Progressive Care and Intensive Care Units for six years, followed by five years practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Early in her career, she also worked as a caregiver while attending nursing school, an experience she found deeply rewarding. Her ongoing exposure to critical illness and end-of-life care in the ICU has shaped her desire to help individuals live life to the fullest before its end.
Brendan Lewis brings a diverse professional background with 12 years in law enforcement, experience as an aerospace machinist, and leadership as General Manager of San Tan Tactical. He has held management roles at all levels, developing strong operational and leadership skills. His motivation for entering senior care is deeply personal—the death of his father, who passed away alone in his home and was not immediately found, profoundly impacted him. While he had witnessed tragic situations during his law enforcement career, experiencing such a loss within his own family reinforced his commitment to ensuring others do not face the same circumstances.
Together, they recognize Arizona as a key retirement destination with a growing elderly population, including seasonal residents and “snowbirds” who often require additional support while living away from their primary homes. Many within their personal and professional networks face challenges caring for aging parents, further highlighting the demand for reliable, compassionate home care services.

When should we consider 24-hour home care?
Use this list to help you decide if continuous monitoring is something you should consider:
- The person doesn’t sleep through the night (or gets up more than 2-3 times per night).
- The person has difficulty moving around and is at a high risk of falls.
- The person was recently (or is about to be) discharged from the hospital and needs constant monitoring.
- The person’s spouse or relative is exhausted from helping day and night.

Can I trial Nurse Next Door or do I have to sign a long-term contract?
You are not locked into a long-term contract as a Nurse Next Door client.

Are your home care services only for seniors?
No. We provide home care services to people of all ages. While our specialty is providing Happier Aging® experiences to seniors, we also assist with disability care, post-operative care, and more for children and adults.

Will I have the same Care Team all the time?
At Nurse Next Door, we strive to provide consistent care with regularly assigned caregivers. If your Caregiver isn’t available, we will ensure a suitable replacement that meets your unique needs.
Does Nurse Next Door conduct a background check for Caregivers?
Yes, all Nurse Next Door Caregivers are carefully screened with criminal background checks, vulnerable sector checks and reference checks. We verify our Caregivers' educational credentials upon hire and ensure, on an annual basis, that every Nurse is registered and in good standing with their respective College of Nurses.
