Making Lives Better
Over the years, Dayna gained extensive customer service from her parents' fishing resort to working as a server at Crown Isle Golf Resort, Mount Washington Ski Resort and Riverside Golf Resort. Providing quality service to customers has always been a priority for Dayna as her attention to detail and determination to go above and beyond is her focus.After working with behavioral and mentally challenged adults, Dayna relocated to Calgary in 2007 where she transitioned into a career looking after seniors. Searching for a company that fit her own core values and morals, Dayna worked at Nurse Next Door Calgary as a Care Designer for five years. In 2014, Dayna and her family relocated back to the Okanagan to be closer to her aging parents and grandparents. For the past two years, Dayna worked as the Operations Manager for Nurse Next Door Kelowna and Vernon.In January 2016, Dayna jumped at the opportunity to become the Nurse Next Door Kamloops Owner to bring her back full circle to where she began and to continue to provide services to seniors in her community.With Dayna's customer service and leadership skills, she is looking forward to bringing quality elder care services to those who need it and building a team of passionate and dedicated employees. Dayna hopes to educate her community surrounding home care options and the ability to stay at home. Hoping to make a difference in senior's lives and change the negative perceptions of aging, she looks forward to bringing Happier Aging™ - a truly unique experience dedicated to getting clients back to doing what they love – to elders.

What if I need to speak to someone after business hours?
Our Care Services Center is open 24/7. Call anytime, and one of our Care Services Specialists will be happy to assist you.
When should we consider 24-hour home care?
Use this list to help you decide if continuous monitoring is something you should consider:
- The person doesn’t sleep through the night (or gets up more than 2-3 times per night).
- The person has difficulty moving around and is at a high risk of falls.
- The person was recently (or is about to be) discharged from the hospital and needs constant monitoring.
- The person’s spouse or relative is exhausted from helping day and night.

How much does Nurse Next Door cost?
Nurse Next Door's services vary in price depending on the level of care required and the Nurse Next Door Care team that services your area. To get a better idea of pricing in your area, speak to one of our Care Services Specialists—we're open any time, 24/7.
We also offer a complimentary Caring Consult™, during which one of our care designers will help you determine the amount of care you may require. We'll then work with you to balance your budget and needs and find a home care option for you.
Can I trial Nurse Next Door or do I have to sign a long-term contract?
You are not locked into a long-term contract as a Nurse Next Door client.
To try out Nurse Next Door, just contact us to book a complimentary, no-obligation Caring Consult™. One of our care designers will visit your home to assess your needs and design a care plan with you, including frequency and duration of care.
Are your home care services only for seniors?
No. We provide home care services to people of all ages. While our specialty is providing Happier Aging® experiences to seniors, we also assist with disability care, post-operative care, and more for children and adults.

Will I have the same Care Team all the time?
At Nurse Next Door, we strive to provide consistent care with regularly assigned caregivers. If your Caregiver isn’t available, we will ensure a suitable replacement that meets your unique needs.
Does Nurse Next Door conduct a background check for Caregivers?
Yes, all Nurse Next Door Caregivers are carefully screened with criminal background checks, vulnerable sector checks and reference checks. We verify our Caregivers' educational credentials upon hire and ensure, on an annual basis, that every Nurse is registered and in good standing with their respective College of Nurses.
