Sebastian Idiong brings more than three decades of nursing and perioperative expertise to his Nurse Next Door franchise, along with a deep personal commitment to helping seniors live safely and confidently at home. He is a highly trained healthcare professional with extensive clinical experience across multiple countries and care settings. His education includes a Registered Nurse diploma, a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Anthropology, and specialized credentials in nurse anesthesiology, perioperative nursing, and addictions-focused psychology, as well as a diploma in perioperative nursing from MacEwan University in Edmonton.

Over the past 30+ years, Sebastian has served in a wide range of roles—from operating room and recovery room nursing to float nursing in inpatient and surgical environments. Most recently, he worked as an Operating Room Nurse at Lloydminster Hospital in Saskatchewan from April 2017 to January 30, 2026, building on prior roles in Saskatchewan, Newfoundland and Labrador, Bermuda, Barbados, and Nigeria.

While Sebastian has always found nursing meaningful, his passion for home care became personal when he cared for his late wife during her palliative journey with end-stage ovarian cancer. That experience deepened his belief in compassionate, dignified care at home and inspired him to bring that same level of support to other families in his community. As Saskatoon’s senior population continues to grow, he sees an increasing need for trusted home care services that help older adults maintain independence, stay connected to their routines, and age in place with confidence.

Sebastian chose Nurse Next Door because he wants to make a measurable difference in the lives of seniors and create a positive ripple effect in his community. His goals are ambitious: to build strong sales momentum, reach $100K in monthly revenue within one year of launch, and create long-term, trans-generational wealth for his family. He’s especially excited by the chance to step out of the “rat race” and build a bold, purpose-driven future.
