Meet Robbin Proia: Caring for Others Is PersonalFor Robbin Proia, caring for others has always been more than a profession—it is personal. As a nurse, healthcare leader, wife, and mom, Robbin believes everyone deserves to feel seen, supported, and cared for with kindness, compassion, and dignity.Her passion for home care grew even stronger through her family's experience finding care for her parents. Navigating that journey gave Robbin a firsthand understanding of how important it is to find dependable, compassionate support for the people you love. She experienced how much of a difference the right care can make, not only for an individual but also for the entire family. That experience inspired her to help create the kind of care she would want for her own loved ones: personal, trustworthy, and centered around each person's unique needs.
Robbin brings years of nursing and leadership experience to Nurse Next Door – Middle TN. However, she believes that exceptional care involves much more than experience alone. It begins with listening, building genuine relationships, and taking the time to understand what matters most to each person. She is passionate about helping seniors maintain their independence, feel comfortable in their own homes, and continue enjoying the lives they love.
Robbin opened Nurse Next Door – Middle TN with a heartfelt desire to serve her local community and make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and their families. The values of Bold Kindness and Happier Aging reflect her belief that every person deserves compassion, connection, and the opportunity to enjoy life at every age.
Outside of work, Robbin loves spending time with her husband, Michael, and their two sons. Their family enjoys swimming, kayaking, cooking together, and keeping up with the boys' activities. Their energetic Labradoodles, Yoda and Nugget, are never too far away.For Robbin, caring for others means treating every family with the same thoughtfulness and compassion she would want for her own. She is proud to bring that commitment to Middle Tennessee, one relationship and one act of kindness at a time.
Meet Tabitha Anglea: A Heart for Serving OthersFor Tabitha, caring for others has always been more than a career—it is a calling. From an early age, she discovered the joy of serving others, beginning as a candy striper and eventually becoming a Registered Nurse. Throughout her years in healthcare and leadership, Tabitha has developed a deep belief that meaningful care begins with compassion, trust, and truly seeing the person behind the need.
Her passion for home care is deeply personal. While raising her family and working full time, Tabitha also cared for family members at home. Through those experiences, she came to understand how important it is to have someone you can trust to care for the people you love. She learned that some of the greatest gifts we can offer another person are our time, presence, kindness, and encouragement.
Tabitha brings a heart for leadership and service to Nurse Next Door – Middle TN. She believes leadership is about building relationships, listening with understanding, encouraging others, and creating an environment where people feel valued and supported. Her greatest joy is loving on people and waking up each day asking herself, “Who can I serve today?”
Opening Nurse Next Door – Middle TN allows Tabitha to put those values into action by serving her local community. She is passionate about compassionate, patient-centered care that honors each individual's needs, preferences, and dignity. She believes seniors deserve the opportunity to remain at home, surrounded by the familiar comforts of life, while receiving the personal care and companionship they need.Tabitha chose Nurse Next Door because its commitment to Bold Kindness reflects what she believes in deeply: helping seniors live their best lives through genuine care and meaningful connection.Outside of work, Tabitha enjoys spending time with her husband, Michael, their two daughters, and their dogs, Lola and Willow. Her faith, Bible studies, reading, coffee, family time, and finding simple ways to bless others are important parts of her life.

What if I need to speak to someone after business hours?
Our Care Services Center is open 24/7. Call anytime, and one of our Care Services Specialists will be happy to assist you.
When should we consider 24-hour home care?
Use this list to help you decide if continuous monitoring is something you should consider:
- The person doesn’t sleep through the night (or gets up more than 2-3 times per night).
- The person has difficulty moving around and is at a high risk of falls.
- The person was recently (or is about to be) discharged from the hospital and needs constant monitoring.
- The person’s spouse or relative is exhausted from helping day and night.

How much does Nurse Next Door cost?
Nurse Next Door's services vary in price depending on the level of care required and the Nurse Next Door Care team that services your area. To get a better idea of pricing in your area, speak to one of our Care Services Specialists—we're open any time, 24/7.
We also offer a complimentary Caring Consult™, during which one of our care designers will help you determine the amount of care you may require. We'll then work with you to balance your budget and needs and find a home care option for you.
Can I trial Nurse Next Door or do I have to sign a long-term contract?
You are not locked into a long-term contract as a Nurse Next Door client.
To try out Nurse Next Door, just contact us to book a complimentary, no-obligation Caring Consult™. One of our care designers will visit your home to assess your needs and design a care plan with you, including frequency and duration of care.
Are your home care services only for seniors?
No. We provide home care services to people of all ages. While our specialty is providing Happier Aging® experiences to seniors, we also assist with disability care, post-operative care, and more for children and adults.

Will I have the same Care Team all the time?
At Nurse Next Door, we strive to provide consistent care with regularly assigned caregivers. If your Caregiver isn’t available, we will ensure a suitable replacement that meets your unique needs.
Does Nurse Next Door conduct a background check for Caregivers?
Yes, all Nurse Next Door Caregivers are carefully screened with criminal background checks, vulnerable sector checks and reference checks. We verify our Caregivers' educational credentials upon hire and ensure, on an annual basis and that every Nurse are registered, licensed, and in good standing.
Why should I use Nurse Next Door instead of hiring a private caregiver?
While private caregivers also offer personalized care, we go beyond that by matching you with the perfect Caregiver and providing a reliable system you can trust. Our 24/7 live support and activity monitoring system ensures you receive reliable, quality care every visit.
