Services offered range from three hours-per-week of friendly companionship right through to around-the-clock care from a registered nurse. Nurse Next Door promises to do whatever it takes to bring peace of mind and our personalized home care services are suited to individual needs so seniors can maintain the independence and dignity they deserve.

Tammy always had a great love for people, especially the geriatric population. As she was increasingly missing her work as a Personal Support Worker, her friend introduced her to Nurse Next Door. She was drawn to Nurse Next Door because "out of the box" thinking was encouraged with a goal to make lives better by finding a better way. Unlike other companies which are very task-oriented, she was impressed with the time dedicated to each client to figure out what that special thing is to make them happy. She knew this was a place where she shared the same views and values when it came to home health care for seniors.There is a great need for Nurse Next Door services in the London, St. Thomas, Aylmer and surrounding areas as the senior population continues to grow. There may be other agencies around that can service clients and complete tasks, but nobody else provides the type of care that we do. Personal, attentive and compassionate care with an emphasis on celebrating life and one's true being is the focus of care. Many of these areas are under-serviced as people in need often fall through the cracks of our public health system.

As a Care Designer for Nurse Next Door London, St. Thomas, Aylmer and surrounding areas, Tammy was excited to take over as Owner with her husband, Adam. Having played a part in and seeing firsthand the difference real quality home care can make, her goal is to make care accessible and to provide the best in home health care services.Nurse Next Door is different from other home health care companies in many ways. Firstly, our caregivers are top notch. We seek caregivers that give freely of themselves just to make someone smile. What if I need to speak to someone after business hours?
Our Care Services Center is open 24/7. Call anytime, and one of our Care Services Specialists will be happy to assist you.
When should we consider 24-hour home care?
Use this list to help you decide if continuous monitoring is something you should consider:
- The person doesn’t sleep through the night (or gets up more than 2-3 times per night).
- The person has difficulty moving around and is at a high risk of falls.
- The person was recently (or is about to be) discharged from the hospital and needs constant monitoring.
- The person’s spouse or relative is exhausted from helping day and night.

How much does Nurse Next Door cost?
Nurse Next Door's services vary in price depending on the level of care required and the Nurse Next Door Care team that services your area. To get a better idea of pricing in your area, speak to one of our Care Services Specialists—we're open any time, 24/7.
We also offer a complimentary Caring Consult™, during which one of our care designers will help you determine the amount of care you may require. We'll then work with you to balance your budget and needs and find a home care option for you.
Can I trial Nurse Next Door or do I have to sign a long-term contract?
You are not locked into a long-term contract as a Nurse Next Door client.
To try out Nurse Next Door, just contact us to book a complimentary, no-obligation Caring Consult™. One of our care designers will visit your home to assess your needs and design a care plan with you, including frequency and duration of care.
Are your home care services only for seniors?
No. We provide home care services to people of all ages. While our specialty is providing Happier Aging® experiences to seniors, we also assist with disability care, post-operative care, and more for children and adults.

Will I have the same Care Team all the time?
At Nurse Next Door, we strive to provide consistent care with regularly assigned caregivers. If your Caregiver isn’t available, we will ensure a suitable replacement that meets your unique needs.
Does Nurse Next Door conduct a background check for Caregivers?
Yes, all Nurse Next Door Caregivers are carefully screened with criminal background checks, vulnerable sector checks and reference checks. We verify our Caregivers' educational credentials upon hire and ensure, on an annual basis, that every Nurse is registered and in good standing with their respective College of Nurses.
