Responsibilities
- Design, create and implement effective relational database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data for data acquisition and security
- Create and enforce database development standards
- Develop data models for applications, metadata tables, views or related database structures
- Set up database clusters, backup, or recovery processes
- Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating client operations, applications, and programming
- Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions
- Ensure effective operations of current the data integrations to BI warehouse
- Maintain, evolve and improve the reliability of data availability and functionality
- Troubleshoot and debug system failure, develop and deploy long term database solutions
- Support current ETL jobs, ETL flow and data mapping deployments
- Work closely with application Vendors and internal specialists to support and enhance data models, queries, integrations, and other ongoing production support tasks
- Experience on AWS EMR with PySpark, Python and AWS Tech Stack
Skills & Experience
- Data modelling skills, and proficiency with SQL (i.e. T-SQL, PL/pgSQL, PL/V8).
- Working experience of Linux (e.g. RHEL, Ubuntu, Debian) or Unix variant (e.g. FreeBSD, AIX, macOS) Operating Systems
- Experience with ETL tools/ ETL flows with complex Transformations/Routines using Python 3, Java, Javascript, Bash Shell Scripting
- User interface and query software (e.g. IBM DB2)
- Enterprise application integration software (e.g. XML)
- Data modeling tools (e.g. ERWin, Enterprise Architect and Visio)
- Tableau programming, analytical report, dashboard development, troubleshootin
- Experience in business intelligence fields - strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, design and disseminate significant amounts of information with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Application server software (e.g. Oracle)\Exceptional Database management - SQL skills/experience using MS SQL Server, MySQL, SSIS, SSMS, SQL Server Management Studio, PostgreSQ
- Three-seven years in database design, data management and data analytics
- You exude self-leadership, you are proactive in your communication and customer service approach
